UK food manufacturer Symington’s has extended its Aunt Bessie’s dessert range with the launch of a series of home baking products.
The range includes instant custard, custard powder, golden crumble mix and short crust pastry mix.
Symington’s, which makes a range of products under the Aunt Bessie’s brand, said the reason behind the launch is to make “home baking more easy and accessible to a wider range of audiences”.
Aunt Bessie’s marketing manager Jeremy Hughes added: “We are delighted to be working with Symington’s to extend our range of products in the ambient categories. Moving into the home baking and dessert aisles is a natural step for the Aunt Bessie’s brand, continuing to give consumers a helping hand to create tasty, home cooked food.”
Aunt Bessie’s golden crumble mix and shortcrust pastry mix are available at Tesco for GBP0.79 (US$1.24). Aunt Bessie’s instant custard sachet is available for GBP0.59 and the custard powder tubs have an RRP of GBP0.99 for the 300g and GBP1.89 for the 600g.
