UK food manufacturer Symington’s has joined forces with television chef Simon Rimmer to launch a range of vegetarian meals.
Si Meat-Free Cuisine is a range of side plates and meal kits that the company said “provide an alternative to meat substitutes”. The products are the first branded supermarket range for Rimmer.

The side plates dishes include Carrot and Coriander Falafel, Thai Spiced Potato Cakes, and Onion Bhajis. The meal kits include Chickpea Tikka Masala, Mixed Bean Chilli, and Tomato Biryani. The range is available at Morrisons.
“Vegetarian society statistics suggest that around 3% of the British population is vegetarian. However, a growing number of non-vegetarians are choosing to reduce the amount of meat they eat,” said Symington’s brand manager Vicky Smith. “The success of campaigns like Meat Free Monday and programmes like River Cottage Veg show people are looking for help in how to go meat-free while still eating delicious food.”
