UK firm Tangerine Confectionery has revamped popcorn brand Butterkist.

The confectionery group said it has is taking “classic elements” from the brand’s all-American heritage and combined it with new-look matt packaging and revised strapline of ‘Butterkist Productions presents…’. The new-look brand will appear on shelves later this month.

In addition, the group has added flavours and formats to the range, including cinema sweet and sweet and salted variants.

“The investment we have made in Butterkist is testament to the belief we have that it will continue to be the number one popcorn choice for consumers,” said Tangerine Confectionery CEO Graham Hunter. “The redesign and new formats will re-invigorate the brand for existing fans and will offer stand out for retailers looking to secure new customers.”
