Willie Hamilton has spent 24 years at Tesco and for the last three years has held the position of commercial director for Tesco Express.
Hamilton (pictured) will join the Musgrave unit, which oversee stores under banners including Budgens and Londis, in March.
Until then, Andy Batchelor will lead the Musgrave Retail Partners GB trading team on a interim basis.
Musgrave Retail Partners GB managing director Phil Smith said: “This is a key appointment for our business and I am delighted that Willie has decided to join Musgrave.”
