Tesco has until Monday (30 June) to lodge an appeal against the CC’s findings, which were published in May.
While largely retailer-friendly, the investigation controversially proposed the establishment of a “competition test” in the UK grocery sector and an ombudsman to oversee competition in the market.
The report did not cite sources and the UK retailer declined to comment on the news when contacted by just-food.
