UK retailing giant Tesco is planning to offer grocery shoppers a range of new in-store services; from finalising divorce to drawing up a will.

Lawyers will be able to operate within superstores, in a similar fashion to pharmacies or dry cleaners, after a radical shake-up of the legal profession, implemented by the solicitors’ governing body, the Law Society. It is expected that the full proposals will be approved by the Society’s governing council in March and implemented by September this year.
Tesco’s Karen Mackenzie told the Sunday Telegraph: “”Offering legal services in-store would prove popular with members of the public.
“It’s something we’re planning to do when the opportunity arises.”
Tesco is currently mulling the options of hiring its own solicitors or contracting established legal firms to operate concessions in its larger outlets.
