UK retail giant Tesco has launched a new range of soups in its UK stores.

The New York Soup Co range is available in five flavours, including Tomato & Sweet Paprika Soup, Spicy Pumpkin Soup, Chicken Jambalaya Soup, Corn Chowder and Sweet Potato & Blackeyed Bean Soup. The selection is inspired by delis and soup bars in New York, the company said.

The soup range is produced by own-label manufacturer Bakkavor at its soups and sauces factory at Spalding, Lincolnshire, UK.

Meanwhile, Tesco has also added two flavours to its Finest chilled soup range.

The New York Soup Co range will be available this week at Tesco stores for GBP2.10 (US$3.28) per 600g container and the Finest Roasted Red Pepper Soup and Butterbean & Chorizo Soup are available for GBP2.20.
