The Committee was established in June 1999 and provides independent expert advice on the safety and use of animal feeds and feeding practices. Its members are appointed for their individual expertise and experience and are not representative of any sector or organisation. The publication of its Annual Report is part of ACAF’s policy of openness.

This report summarises topics considered at ACAF’s first seven meetings. These include ACAF’s role in the assessment of GMOs and GM material, the adventitious presence of GM oilseed in commercial seed stocks, the EC ban on processed animal proteins and the use blood in animal feed. The report also outlines progress made on ACAF’s review of animal feed labelling.

The Report can be found on the ACAF website and is also available, free of charge, from the ACAF Secretariat at the address below.
