UK luxury chocolate maker Thorntons has announced the appointment of Chris Burnett as executive chairman with effect from 26 April 2004.
Burnett, who is currently chairman of Marshalls, will replace John Thornton, who is to retire from the position of executive chairman on 26 April.
Thornton will remain on the board as a non-executive director.
