Tyrrells marketing director Oliver Rudgard said the company is focused on growing the value of its vegetable crisp range.

“Investing and driving NPD is key to growing the business as a whole, so we’re always looking for new ways to grow the premium segment with exciting incremental opportunities,” said Rudgard. “This will be visible over the next few months, with a number of exciting extensions to the brand.”

Tyrrells Crinkly Veg crisps will be available in leading multiple outlets and independents, delis and farm shops.

Last week, Tyrrells announced it had acquired local rival Glennans, a maker of vegetable crisps. Glennans, set up in 1986, sells its eponymous vegetable crisps to retailers including Tesco, Asda and Waitrose. It also makes crisps under contract for retailers and manufacturers.
