The company said that the move was to help retailers and their customers “beat” the economic downturn.
The new selection of price marked packs includes the biggest selling flavours of Hula Hoops (Original, Salt & Vinegar, Cheese & Onion and BBQ) Skips, and Wheat Crunchies (Spicy Tomato and Crispy Bacon).
According to United Biscuits, one in three shoppers are encouraged by price marked packs because they feel they offer better value.
A spokesperson for the company told just-food that in previous price marked promotions the company witnessed a sales uplift.
