Treschow, chairman of Swedish telecoms group Ericsson, has being tipped by UK press reports to take over from Antony Burgmans, who is stepping down.
“Unilever today confirms that the process for the nomination of a new independent chairman at the AGMs in 2007 is proceeding as planned. As yet there is nothing further to announce,” the company said today (18 December).
Treschow has been the chairman of Ericsson since March 2002, having served as president and CEO of the Electrolux Group until April 2002
