Unilever has launched a range of Knorr premium dry sauces in the UK, marking the brand’s move into the category.

The Dry Sauces Gourmet range, which includes recipe mixes, sauces and oven bags, is available from this month.

Oven bags, available in cases of 20, will sell at an RRP of GBP1.49 (US$2.33), while the recipe mixes and sauces, available in cases of 18, will cost GBP1.09 and GBP0.89 respectively.

Flavours include oriental stir fry chicken recipe mix with a hint of garlic and ginger, creamy bread sauce with onion and a hint of nutmeg as well as spiced roast chicken with chestnut and a hint of citrus. 

The company said it recognised a gap for a premium product in the dry sauces category, which is worth GBP112m, growing 14.8% year-on-year.
