Unilever, which put the brands up for sale in July, said it had agreed to sell the units to UK-based Premier Foods.

The company said Ambrosia, which is made at Unilever’s Lifton factory in Devon, has a 43% share of the UK custard market, and a 57% share of the milk pudding market. Brown & Polson is a brand of cornflour. The two brands have annual sales of around €87m (US$100.7m).

Unilever said it expects to complete the deal by the end of the year, reported Reuters.
