Unilever has said it is considering options for the future of its Grimsby and Lowestoft sites that could lead to the closure of at least one factory, reported the Guardian.

The Birds Eye frozen foods factory at Grimsby, which employs 750 workers, is in need of modernisation, and Unilever is considering options including making further investments in the plant, or eventually closing it completely, the paper said.

Unilever is also reviewing the Lowestoft plant, which houses four food divisions and employs 800 workers.
