United Biscuits has confirmed that it plans to cut a total of 76 head office and manufacturing jobs.
A collective consultation process has now been completed and the company is cutting 40 head office jobs as well as a further 36 positions at its factory in Wigston.

The manufacturing cuts come in order to realign resources with a reduction in volume, a spokesperson for the company told just-food.
The spokesperson said the move came as part of the group’s restructuring drive, which was launched in September. The UK biscuit maker aims to create a more “streamlined, competitive and focused company”.
