Wilson will join Food from Britain North America on 2 January 2007, taking over from current managing director Steve Dawson on 1 April, following a three-month handover period.

“Steve Dawson has run FFB’s North American operation very effectively since taking on the role in 1998 and has been both an able ambassador for the British food and drink industry and a highly valued partner for many UK exporters looking to enter or further develop the US and Canada markets,” said Simon Waring, international management director of Food from Britain. “We are very grateful for all he has delivered and look forward to continuing our association in his new role to be announced shortly.”

Wilson joins FFB from Marlow Foods, part of the Premier Foods group, where he is general manager of the US business for the Quorn brand division.
