Upmarket UK retailer Waitrose has extended its recall of own-label mixed seeds amid a salmonella scare.

The company has recalled a further two batches of products due to the presence of salmonella. The recall covers 250g packs of Waitrose Wholesome Mixed Seeds, 400g packets of Waitrose Wholesome Seed Nut & Sultana Sprinkle and 150g batches of Waitrose Wholesome Sesame Seeds.
The recall, issued late on Friday (23 November), followed a similar announcement last week when Waitrose called back its 250g packets of Wholesome Mixed Seeds with best before dates of 8 and 15 March 2008.
