The upmarket UK retailer has removed its own-brand organic Moroccan spiced falafel bites, according to the UK’s Food Standards Agency today (24 September).

“Due to an incorrect ingredient being used, the product contains sulphites, which are not shown on the label,” the FSA said. “This product is unsuitable for people allergic to sulphites, who are advised not to eat it.”

The FSA added that standard rather than organic apricots were also used in the production of the falafel bites.
