UK supermarket chain Waitrose has recalled several of its own-brand chicken products due to possible contamination with salmonella.

The company said routine microbiological testing by its supplier, Moy Park (Craigavon), has indicated the possible presence of the food poisoning bacteria salmonella in Waitrose Roast Chicken Sweet Chilli Mini Fillets 200g.


As a precautionary measure, Waitrose has also recalled six other products produced on the same day by the same manufacturer. The affected products are: Waitrose Cooked Chicken Skinless Breast Fillets 190g; Waitrose Chicken Pieces Chargrill 140g; Waitrose Chicken Pieces Chinese Style 140g; Waitrose Chicken Pieces Tikka 140g; Perfectly Balanced Roast Chicken Breast Maple Mesquite 190g; and Moy Park Roast Chicken Tikka Breast Fillets 250g.
