This month sees the launch of Weight Watchers cookie foodservice packs, which are designed to meet the needs of caterers.

The individually portioned packs contain two cookies and are available in Double Choc Chip and Ginger and Lemon flavours. The cookies, which have already been successfully launched to retail customers, have a points value of one-and-a-half for two cookies.

The cookies feature front-of-pack nutritional information, contain no animal fats and are guaranteed to be free from hydrogenated vegetable oils, artificial flavourings or colourings and GMO’s.

Premium biscuit manufacturer Walkers Shortbread produces the packs under licence.

David Guest, marketing & commercial manager at Walkers Shortbread commented: “The new Weight Watchers Cookies foodservice packs provide caterers with a healthy snack option for the health conscious consumer. Increasingly, more and more people are looking for lower fat snacks that taste just as good as standard products. These new products fill a gap in the market. Any food service business from airlines and other travel operators, to hotels, service stations and work canteens, will undoubtedly see a real benefit from bringing this delicious new healthy offering to their range.”
