The company yesterday (16 November) posted an 81.5% rise in first-half pre-tax profit, boosted by higher volumes. Perry joins the milk supplier during one of the strongest growth periods in the company’s history.
In July, Robert Wiseman announced that Andrew Dare, one of its non-executive directors had notified the company of his intention not to seek re-election at next year’s AGM and would retire from the board at that date.
Perry will take on Dare’s role as of 1 March 2010. He retired from his Scottish Enterprise post earlier this month.
He has also held the position of managing partner of Ernst & Young’s Glasgow office and was chairman of CBI Scotland.
