Wrigley, the sugar confectionery unit of Mars, has appointed Daniela Campari to the post of Wrigley UK marketing director.
Campari joins Wrigley from The Coca-Cola Company, where she held a number of roles including global marketing director for its sports and energy categories and director of innovation for the company’s North American division.
Ian Burton, Wrigley UK’s MD, said Campari had a “deep understanding” of how to grow brands and categories.
Campari will join Wrigley at the end of June. In her new post Campari will focus on reinvigorating and expanding the category, she said.
“Our job now is to reinvigorate and expand the category by developing new occasions and recruiting new users, by increasing availability, and ultimately by strengthening our relationship with our consumers on both a functional and emotional level,” she added.
