After a number of consumer complaints were received by the Food Standards Agency (FSA), Ye Olde Oak Foods Ltd has withdrawn and recalled all 400g cans of its 8 Premium Hot Dog Sausages product carrying the Best Before dates of September 2004 or October 2004.

The products are apparently affected by the same problems that led to recalls by retailers Asda and Lidl last month. Consumers have said that the contents are spoiled and foul smelling.

Ye Olde Oak Foods supplies a number of major retailers with its own brand and the Food Standards Agency advises consumers not to open or eat these specific cans of hot dogs.
