The move accelerates Young’s strategy for growth and gives it leadership of the UK chilled seafood market.

The Gosforth site will become part of the Chilled Division of Young’s Bluecrest Seafood under chilled MD, Peter Ward, who added: “The UK market for chilled seafood is in clear growth at the moment and we are eager to develop the many synergies and new opportunities that the acquisition provides for our business.”
