US convenience chain 7-Eleven has agreed to purchase 14 gasoline stations in Virginia from Quarles Petroleum.

The outlets will be rebranded as 7-Eleven stores, but will continue to sell Shell gasoline. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

The deal is part of a 20-store disposal programme Quarles offered through Matrix Capital Markets Group.

A 7-Eleven spokesperson said starting this month, the new 7-Eleven outlets will be remodelled, yet remain open during the work.

The stores will be equipped to sell 7-Eleven products like coffee, Slurpee and Big Gulp beverages. The outlets will be offered for franchise.
