“Aldi looks forward to becoming a long-term member of the Texas community and has been well received as it has entered new markets like Rhode Island this year,” a spokesperson for the German-owned discounter told just-food.

The group said construction of the 500,000 square foot facility would begin within the next 30 days.

The distribution centre will support Aldi’s expansion in the region, the company said.

“Aldi plans to open 25 stores in its first year, throughout Dallas and Fort Worth,” the spokesperson commented.
