Other additions to the company’s leadership team include Dan Placke as vice president of accounting and finance, and Sonja Tuitele as vice president of public relations and communications.

Muller, who held senior financial management positions at Wild Oats Markets before joining Aurora in 2006, will replace current CFO, Gary Sebek, who is due to leave the company later this year.

“The strength of our existing officers has been bolstered by these three new additions to help round out our management team with the right combination of experience and skill to take Aurora Organic Dairy into the future,” said Marc Peperzak, president and CEO of Aurora.

Earlier this year, Aurora launched a US$320,000 initiative to measure and reduce the carbon footprint across its product lifecycle. The scheme was developed in conjunction with the University of Michigan and funded by the Colorado-based Aurora Organic Dairy Foundation.
