Baker’s Pride, a US private-label baker, has appointed Louis Mastriano to the newly-created position of vice president of sales and marketing.

Mastriano will develop marketing programmes to drive sales of fresh and in-store bakery lines and healthy snack products to retailers, the company said. He was appointed to the position on 25 July.

Prior to joining Baker’s Pride, Mastriano held senior executive roles at Kraft Foods. He has more than 25 years of experience at Kraft North America and most recently served as senior director of in-store merchandising.

“The demonstrated leadership, management and industry knowledge that Lou has amassed during his career will be put to immediate use at Bakers Pride,” said Baker’s Pride CEO Ron Danko, Sr. “Lou’s ability to effectively position products in the marketplace will be an integral part of our long-term growth strategy.”
