Bel Group has announced the launch of two Mini Babybel cheese varieties in the US.

The company’s Laughing Cow division said today (1 June) that it plans to launch White Cheddar and Sharp Original versions of its portion-controlled cheeses.

The company said that over the past six years, Mini Babybel’s sales have doubled in the US, with 25% growth in 2010.

“We are thrilled to introduce Mini Babybel White Cheddar and Sharp Original. We know our consumers work to lead balanced, active lifestyles and we strive to provide them with the great tasting snacks that deliver the nutrition and flavor they need along with the convenience they demand,”said Bel Brands USA marketing director Jon Swadley.

“The launch of the new Mini Babybel varieties demonstrates our dedication to product innovation and a passion for satisfying our consumers snacking needs.”

The products will join its portfolio of single-serve cheeses which include Mini Babybel Original, Light, Gouda, Cheddar and Bonbel.
