
US poultry processor Bell & Evans, which specialises in air-chilled, antibiotic-free chicken, has announced the opening of a new plant in Pennsylvania.
The US$44m poultry processing and packaging facility in Lebanon County will create 380 new jobs.
“This project is going to be a world-class, showplace of a processing plant that will produce the Bell & Evans brand of natural and organic poultry,” said Scott Sechler, chairman and president of Sechler Family Foods, parent company of Farmers Pride and Bell & Evans.
