Campbell Soup Co. CFO Robert Schiffner is to retire from the US food group next January, it has been announced.

Schiffner, who joined the company in 2001, will step down as senior vice president and CFO on 1 August 2008 or earlier if a successor is appointed. He has agreed to remain with Campbell until next January to ensure a smooth transition.
“Throughout his 33-year career in the food industry, Bob has demonstrated unwavering integrity and a commitment to strong financial controls,” said Doug Conant, Campbell’s president and CEO.
