Campbell Soup Co. has launched the “Ideas for Innovation” programme in a bid to garner unsolicited innovations from outside the group.
Campbell has created a website where entrepreneurs, scientists and inventors have been invited to submit their innovation ideas.
“The Ideas for Innovation website is one of the ways we are accessing innovation from outside sources,” Campbell’s chief strategy officer Carl Johnson said.
“We are committed to improving our innovation results, and a key element in this improvement requires us to be open to ideas from both inside and outside the company.”
Campbell said that it is seeking ideas for new products, packaging innovation, product line extensions, environmental sustainability, business processes and marketing.
