The new centre is part of a network of facilities located in North America and Europe, which allows bakery customers to collaborate with Cargill technology staff on new product initiatives, the company said.
It will focus on new product development and R&D to “provide solutions to complex technical challenges”.
“The new facility unites Cargill’s product formulation and pilot plant scale-up capabilities under one roof, enabling the company to help customers accelerate new product development and testing and increase speed to market,” said Luis Rayas, the centre’s technical director.
The new centre complements the company’s bakery innovation centre, which opened in March at the same location.
