The site, based in Nogales, will serve “retail and foodservice customers with Chiquita fresh fruits and vegetables”, the company said.
“This upgraded facility allows us to expand our grower base, strengthen our sales team and enhance our ability to offer the highest quality produce delivered via an extremely efficient supply chain,” said Fortunato Martinez, vice president, fresh select, at Chiquita Fresh North America.
