“We’re building the new bakery to meet the growing demand for our organic energy and nutrition bars,” the spokesperson said. “People recognise that organic is a trusted seal, which stands for food that is made in an environmentally-responsible way, free of pesticides and other harmful chemicals.

“The new bakery provides us with the space to continue to meet growing demand into the future and continue bringing innovative new products to market with a low environmental footprint.”

Asked where Clif Bar currently manufactures its products, the spokesperson declined to reveal the locations. However, she said: “All of our products are made in North America. We work with facilities that have expertise in making and baking quality food and drinks in a variety of formats.”
