ConAgra Foods, which last month issued a profit warning amid “challenges” in its consumer foods business, has added side dishes to its range of Marie Callender’s products.
The US group said the Easy Sides pasta side dishes would provide a quick accompaniment to a main dish.

“In the hustle and bustle of preparing dinner, often it’s not until we are setting the table that we realise we don’t have a side dish to accompany our main course,” Brooke Draper, brand director for Easy Sides, said.
ConAgra has developed five dishes, including fettuccini pasta in a savoury chicken flavored sauce and pasta shells in a butter and cheese flavoured sauce, at a retail price of US$1.25-1.69.
