The stores will be operated by Couche-Tard’s Midwest division under the Circle K brand and as part of the transaction, the company will buy the land and buildings for one location and will assume or enter into leases for the remaining locations.

“A confidentiality agreement between the two parties means that the purchase price cannot be disclosed at this time,” Couche-Tard said in a statement today (10 September).

“Subsequent to this transaction, our network in the Circle K Midwest Division would include a total of 471 company operated-stores. These stores are located on highly visible and well-travelled roads and occupy strategic locations within their respective trade areas,” said Midwest division vice president of operations Darrell Davis.

The acquisitions comes with Couche-Tard in pursuit of Iowa-based Casey’s General Stores.
