Dean Foods has confirmed that it is closing two US production plants in a move to rationalise production.

A spokesperson for the company told just-food that the group is closing its Meadow Gold production plant in Lincoln, which employs around 100 people.

Dean Foods is also ending production at its Flint’s Country Fresh dairy, which employs about 180 people, the spokesperson confirmed.

Production will be moved to other facilities owned by the company.

It is currently unclear how many jobs will be affected by the closures.
