The company said yesterday (8 May) that Del Monte Fruit Chillers are designed to be sold in the canned fruit aisle and then frozen at home for eight hours to become a frozen sorbet.


Tom Cavers, senior brand manager at Del Monte Foods, said the range is the “first freeze-and-eat treat of its kind”.


The range comes in three flavours – Arctic Strawberry, Glacial Mango and Polar Raspberry – and sold in 4-packs of 4oz cups.
