Bloom Supermarkets, a US unit of Belgian retailer Delhaize, has appointed Troy Leshko to the position of vice president of retail operations.

In his new role, Leshko will oversee the operations of around 60 Bloom stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland and Virginia.
His responsibilities will include developing retail strategies and leading company initiatives, merchandising, recruiting and staff development, quality assurance, profitability and customer satisfaction.
A spokesperson for Delhaize told just-food: “Troy Leshko was appointed to his role in August. His vice president role is a new role, which replaces the position of director of retail operations, which was formerly occupied by JJ Fleeman.”
Fleeman has been promoted to a vice president role within Food Lion, another US subsidiary of Delhaize.
