Nuts and snacks specialist Diamond Foods has appointed Andrew Burke as vice president of marketing, with effect from 19 June.

Burke was most recently vice president of marketing at the wine company Ernest & Julio Gallo Winery, and before that had spent seven years with Kraft Foods. Earlier in his career, he was an account supervisor at the New York advertising agency Young & Rubicam.


“Andrew joins Diamond with a track record for success in consumer packaged goods marketing with a focus on brand and product development,” said Michael Mendes, president and CEO of California-based Diamond Foods which markets the Diamond, Emerald and Harmony brands. “We are pleased to have him at the head of our marketing team and leading the marketing effort for Diamond.”
