US distributor Synergy Brands today (31 March) booked a doubling in net profit after seeing sales rise by more than 13% in 2009.

Synergy, which distributes branded and own-label products throughout the US, booked a GAAP net profit of US$724,796 for 2009 – up from $338,358 in 2008.

Gross profit rose 14.9% to $10.9m on the back of a 13.5% increase in sales to just under $109m.
