Dole Food Co. has recalled batches of its Dole Seven Lettuces salad in the US due to possible salmonella contamination.

The company has recalled lines with a use-by date of April 11, 2012, a UPC code of 71430 01057 and product codes 0577N089112A and 0577N089112B.

The salads were distributed in fifteen states: Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin. 

The company said that it is “coordinating closely” with regulatory officials. 

No other Dole salads are included in the recall and no illnesses have been reported.
