Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPSG) has secured agreement with the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) in the US, bringing to an end a four-month strike at one of its facilities.
The US food and drink group and the union issued a joint statement late yesterday (13 September), saying that they have agreed on a new three-year labour contract for hourly workers at DPSG’s Mott’s production facility in Williamson, New York. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“The agreement will end the strike of approximately 300 Williamson employees, which began 23 May,” the statement read. “Union workers will be back on the job from Monday (20 September).”
Speaking to the New York Times, Stuart Appelbaum, national president of the RWSDU, said: “We secured the wages, we secured the pensions and we secured the workers’ jobs.”
