US dressings, dips and cheese manufacturer Litehouse is to expand its operations in Hurricane in Utah, creating an additional 165 jobs.

The expansion of the Idaho-based company’s manufacturing facility will enable the family business, which was established over 50 years ago, to grow the production of its sauce, dressing and dips.

“Our goal is to continue to add jobs to the communities that have helped us grow into a dominant leader in our industry,” Litehouse CEO Jim Frank said.

The project will create up to 165 jobs over the next eight years.

Litehouse can earn up to 20% of the new state taxes they will pay over the duration of an agreement with the Utah state government.

“Litehouse will add quality jobs to the Hurricane community and the state’s manufacturing economy,” said Val Hale, the executive of the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development. “Their expansion will benefit our business environment.”
