US chilled foods group Michael Foods has today (10 December) named former Kraft Foods executive David Johnson as CEO.
Johnson, joined Michael Foods in April, as president, COO and CEO-elect and his appointment to the top executive job was rubber-stamped today.
Gregg Ostrander, who has been Michael Foods’ CEO for 13 years, becomes chairman of the board of directors.
He said: “Dave has shown a passion for the business of Michael Foods since joining us last spring. I am pleased to hand-over the CEO’s position to him. I have no doubt he will very capably serve the company in that capacity and he has my full support as we work to execute our growth plans.”
Meanwhile, CFO John Reedy has become vice-chairman with senior vice president, finance Mark Westphal replacing the 62-year-old.
