US discount retailer Family Dollar Stores has made two executive appointments in its finance team.
The company has named treasury divisional vice president Steve Burt as its vice president – treasurer.
Dave Styka, Family Dollar’s divisional vice president for tax, has been appointed to the position of vice president – finance.
The appointments come amid the departure of Marty Sowers, the retailer’s senior vice president for finance, who has left Famil Dollar “to pursue other interests”, the company said on Friday (11 March).
Burt and Styka will report to CFO Ken Smith.
