PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay snacks division has extended its Ruffles chips line in the US with the launch of a French fry-shaped snack line.

Crispy Fries Potato Strips will launch on 13 July. PepsiCo claims it is the first French fry-shaped snack sliced from real potatoes. The range is designed to “bring to life the French fry experience”, from the shape to the taste and the packaging.

The product can be microwaved and eaten on their own as a snack or as an accompaniment with hamburgers or hot dogs.

Ruffles Crispy Fries Potato Strips are available in two varieties: Original and Cheese-Flavored. Each bag has an RRP of US$1.09.
