Living Ecology, a US business manufacturing functional food, has been acquired by locally-based Rosewood Private Investments (RPI) for an undisclosed sum.
Henderson, Nevada-based Living Ecology specialises in fruit and nutritional bars, including the Organic Food Bar. Its products are stocked in by retailers and foodservice operators including Costco, Whole Foods Market and Starbucks. It also manufactures product on a private-label basis.
Dallas-based RPI said Living Ecology will become an affiliate of its Innovations in Nutrition + Wellness (INW) business, which produces capsules, powders, drinks, gels and cosmetics.
Living Ecology has production facilities in Corona, California, as well as an allergen-free site in Henderson, Nevada.
Through this additional capacity, INW will expand its offering to include a range of bars and bites. It maintains six manufacturing facilities across Texas, Arizona, and California.
RPI director Marquez Bela said: “We look forward to offering INW’s customers new and expanded product format options, specifically in the functional foods markets, as nutritional bars become an increasingly popular dietary option for consumers in the United States.”
